The other side of what? I’m not sure… big life changes? Ya, that will work.
I’ve been quiet and I know it here. Believe it or not, I actually am still here.
I’ve been sitting on several patterns that are waiting to be released as well, ones I’ve been working on over the past 8 or so months, albeit very slowly. They’re all in varying stages of development, but most are sitting at about 80% done. I really hope to get one of these suckers out before the end of the year.
I don’t have to belabour the point of COVID and how that threw everything for everybody into whack – I know you get it. But even above and beyond that, I’ve been busily working with my husband on the business we run (which, thankfully, was relatively unaffected), and since August we’ve been going through the process of purchasing our first home.
That process, let me tell you, has been more emotionally (and sometimes physically) exhausting than I ever could have imagined. And sometimes it felt we were asking the impossible and we’d never find it. But in late September, we found it.
So the past few weeks have been nothing but that, getting everything squared away, some (a little tense at times) back and forth with the sellers, and finalizing paperwork (so much paperwork). There hasn’t been time for much else, as we scramble to keep up with work, deal with weird stress dreams (something I am not used to), and making sure everything is squared away to get this done as quickly as possible.
Oh yes, then there will be the moving, which is happening in a few weeks. So things are crazy.
All that to say, I’m still here, knitting and spinning away, dreaming up patterns even if they haven’t been released. I hope to touch base again in 4-6 weeks, and if I’m feel particularly industrious, release one of these patterns in that time. I’m really keen on them, and I hope you will be too (and honestly, it’ll feel good to finally get them out in the world).
Until then.
