Priddis is a small hamlet, nestled in the foothills of Alberta. With the Rocky Mountains to the west and the open prairie to the east, this shawl features two lace stitches to highlight the unique characteristics of the Alberta foothills. The border lace stitch embodies the wheat fields of the prairies to the east, and the main lace patterning to embody the Rocky Mountains to the west.
Priddis is an easily adjustable pattern, and can be worked on any size yarn. The pattern isn’t overly dependent on gauge, so experiment, and cast on with your favourite weight.
