I love spring. A lot. I’m a pretty fervent gardener, so it’s not surprising that I love this time of year. Everything is finally bursting to life again after a long, long (long, long, long…) time of snow and cold.
Edmonton can have quite variable (to put it mildly) springs. The last few have seen cold and winter-like conditions right up until the end of May, but this year we’ve had warm weather and melting snow since March and I’m just elated about it.
My newest pattern, Avril, is a celebration of spring. Avril is your perfect transitional shawl – made with DK weight yarn in Illimani Santi, it offers a little bit of warth, a little bit of airiness, and a whole lot of drape. The shawl features an all-over lace pattern and knit on the bias, and it’s perfect for throwing on for still-cool nights and unexpected spring showers.
There are both charted and written instructions for this shawl, and includes guidelines for adjusting the size to your desired dimensions.
So head on over to Ravelry and check it out right here where you can snag the pattern for yourself.
But that’s not my only announcement on this post – I’m having a spring shawl sale!
I was just so excited by our not-incredibly-late spring this year, that I wanted to celebrate by offering all my self-published shawl patterns at 25% off (including Avril!). From now until April 28th (11:59 MST) you can get all my self-published shawl patterns for 25% off their listed price. You can see which ones are included in the sale by following this link right here.
Bring on the spring!
