Indie Design GAL: Home

This is part of my on-going Indie Designer Gift-A-Long 2018 series. Starting on November 24th, one to two times a week I will be highlighting 4-6 designs from my fellow designers also participating in the event.

Don’t forget to join in the fun, we’re all over here chatting up a storm.

Mrs. Hudson’s Tea Cozy by Joanna Johnson

From the pattern description
This tea cozy, inspired by “The Five Orange Pips” and decorated with colorwork orange slices, is knit in the round. To create openings for the handle and spout, steeks are cut on each side of the cozy.

Available in one size, and uses 250 – 300 yds of sport weight yarn.

Festive Forest Cushion by Sandra Nesbitt

From the pattern description
This fabulously festive cushion with its Christmas tree motifs, will add a magical touch to your seasonal decor. Choose a soft, squidgy cushion pad to make it extra cuddly and pick from tow finished sizes. The button band closure with a lovely stripy rib pattern , makes the cushion practical as well as beautiful.

Available in two sizes, and uses 750 – 800 yds of DK weight yarn.

Here We Gnome Again by Sarah Schira

From the pattern description
Meet Gnancy and Gneville. Gnancy likes to read The Fellowship of the Rings while sipping mead. Gneville can’t sit still and enjoys rugby and Quidditch. Gorgeous twisted stitch cables trace elegant patterns all over the hat and body. Just like Never Not Gnoming, there are a number of tricks to keep the sewing to a minimum.

Uses 90 – 103 yds of worsted weight yarn per gnome.

Oliver’s Blanket by Danielle Chalson

From the pattern description
Cables and lace intertwine to create a classic, elegant blanket. Deeply ribbed borders create the perfect frame for the cable pattern, which is charted. Choose a solid color to enhance the heirloom feel of this unisex blanket.

Available in two sizes, and uses 850 – 2100 yds of aran weight yarn.
